What has been delivered, and where.

We operate largely in the eastern parts of Uganda, with significant projects in northern Uganda. Where we work is shaped by the most urgent need at the time, and by the priorities of the donors who make each project possible.

We are reaching a fraction of the need.

An estimated 7 million people live on under $2 a day in the rural localities Hope for Community Initiative Uganda can currently reach. Our programmes address roughly 0.2% of that need. There is no shortage of need. Funding constraints force us to say no to thousands of people who reach out to us. That is our case for your support.

Transparency

How donated funds are managed

It is our policy to conduct our fundraising to the highest standards of integrity.

100% donation policy
All funds are strictly used for the purposes for which they were raised or donated. We conduct our fundraising to the highest standards of integrity.
Undesignated funds
Funds received without a donor restriction are held in an undesignated fund, unless the Board of Directors directs otherwise through a separate designation.
Restricted funds first
When funds are delivered for programme use, precedence is given to the most restricted funds available, which keeps the overall use of donations efficient.
Internal controls
Internal controls and mechanisms are in place to ensure that the ultimate use of every fund is in accordance with the relevant fund definitions and with donor intent.

We are committed to a stewardship-focused set of processes that optimise the use of donated funds, providing strategic, productive, short and long-term interventions to people who are in need, vulnerable or affected by disaster, while respecting human dignity.
